No matter how well you brush and even if you use an electric toothbrush there will still be plaque trapped between your teeth which flossing or other interdental products remove.

Flossing also helps to prevent stains from building up between your teeth which are difficult to remove even with a professional clean.


Using a mouthwash helps to wash away the food debris which was trapped between your teeth and also kills bacteria that can cause bad breath.

Certain mouthwashes also contain special ingredients to help whiten your teeth at the same time.


Finally brush your teeth and gums with an everyday use whitening toothpaste.  Ideally with an electric toothbrush that has a 2-minute timer to ensure that you brush for the correct time period.

This helps to remove plaque from your teeth and gums, reducing the risk of caries and gum disease whilst at the same time helping to remove surface stains and so keeping your teeth white.
